Catchup! 4th September

Blouse - Zara, £30
Denim shirt - Primark
Blue Disco pants - Glamorous, £30

I LOOOOOVE my disco pants which were a present from my very generous boyfriend! I think disco pants are very versatile and you can dress them up or down depending on what you wear and what colour you have, at the moment I have 3 pairs the black and blue Glamorous ones and a burgundy pair from Bank that I havent got round to blogging about yet.

I tucked in this studded collar blouse whch I also am in love with (these are like my two fave items of clothing at the moment) and then added the denim shirt as a jacket to give it a more casual look and bring the outfit together.

Catchup! 3rd September

Really sorry I havent been able to blog recently but since I've gone back to school, after all my homeworks and my job my blogs been put aside :( but hopefully now that the first week is over I'll be able to do it a little more often now.

Crop top - Topshop
Shorts - GlamorousUK, £30
Scarf - Alexander McQueen

Cannot get over how much I love these shorts, they are so on trend with one side covered in studs but they're also a really good fit and very good quality. I have a little obsession with Glamorous recently and it seems everytime I look at the website I find something new I love! Would definitely recommend!

I tucked this oversized crop top into the shorts and then added my beautiful scarf which I adore to bringout the colours in the top and tye the outfit together.

P.S. A little tip some of you may like... as youve probably noticed I like to have my hair down and occasionaly in a bun but when I'm having a bad hair day where my hair just wont do anything I find its easiest to put it in a side plait so it actually looks decent too

Last week catchup: Sunday 2nd September

Top - Hollister
Shorts - Dolls Boutique
Waistcoat - Primark

For this outfit I wore the denim on denim trend mixing dark with light and distressed with normal. By adding this navy and white spotted top from Hollister tied in both shades of denim together.

I got these shorts from a small shop called Dolls Boutique near where I live and they came with braces which are removable so theyre really cute when theyre worn but look just as good without them.

I also like this Hollister top because of the style, its almost like a peplum with a drawn in waist and then loose around the bottom half.  The short waistcoat accentuates the bow at the waist of the top and gives the outfit a cute relaxed look.

1st September

Leather Jacket - Zara, £60
Peplum - Primark, £8
Pencil skirt - Miss Selfridge

Unfortunately the picture quality isn't very good because I've just been too busy to take photos on my professional camera so this peplum top from primark looks orange instead of the bright pink it actually is. I wore it with my new studded lather jakcet fom zara and a black lycra pencil skirt so that the pink really stands out against the rest of the black outfit.

I wore the peplum with the lycra skirt because it really helps with the hour glass shape and accentiates the peplum. I think whenever you wear a peplum it needs to be with a tighter bottom half like skinny jeans or a lycra skirt not a pleated skirt.

I really liked this outfit because it was dressed down by the leather jacket but the pop of colour from the top still stood out.

Happy Shopping!

I went shopping the other day and bought this new outfit! One thing I'm really happy about is that all the things I bought make a good outfit but are also really good stye basics that are so versatile so I can make so mnay outfits from mixing and matching them with the rest of my wardrobe.

Leather Jacket - Zara, £60
Studded blouse - Warehouse, £25
Soft jeans - River Island, £35

I love this new outfit! It's a little bit edgier and grungier than what I normally wear but I think its the perfect medium between casual and fashionable and is also perfect for the fast approaching autumn.

The leather jacket is one I've been wanting for a few weeks now and I really like it! Although you can't see it too well in the photo but on the front of the jacket shoulders its covered with studs and round the cuff of the sleeves too. But it's not just the studs that make the jacket different, I also like the three quarter sleeves which is different to all my other jackets and the diagonal zip. Plus, leather jackets are one of the most important style essentials especially for cold weather because they're perfect on top of any outfit and having one a little unique is great if you want to stand out.

I took this close up picture of my top so you see the detail a little better, it's covered in what I'd describe as small gold studs. I really like it because the detail is very subtle but effective so you can dress it up or down. Plus, in this outfit the studs on the jacket really brings out the gold on the top. Plus at the moment in Warehouse theres 20% off for students so it was only £20!

I also really like my soft jeans from River Island, theyre really soft like jeggings so super comfy but thicker and look exactly like jeans. The colour is my absolute favourite bit, the mottled stone washed grey is so easy to wear with loads of different colours so can be used for so many outfits! Plus the fit is really good too because they look just like skinny jeans. Definitely going to be wearing these alot!

28th August

Blouse - Miss Selfridge, £32
Jeans - Sixxy at Harvey Nichols, £60

I really like this dip dye style blouse from Miss Selfridge because as I've already said I have a little obsession with blouses at the moment. I think the colours make the blouse look really different and by putting it with tye dye jeans I did abit of trend on trend using tye dye/ dip dye prints. I got the outfit to go together by pairing complimentary/similar prints with shared colours like black and white. Then because of the goldy yellow being the most stand out colour of the outfit I wore gold jewellery to compliment it.

When I first bought these jeans I really like them but then I went off them for a while and now I really like them again, I think the main reason is theyre just so different to all my other jeans and they are hand dyed which you can tell buy the fact that the print isnt perfect: on one leg its mainly black while on the other mainly white. For those of you who fancy a pair sadly mine are not available to buy anymore because I got them over a year and a half ago now but when I went out shopping in this outfit yesterday I did see a pair very similar to these in one of the high street shops but unfortunately I cant remember which! So I'll look for them again next time I go and tell you where they're from.

Jumper - Miss Selfridge, £45
Disco pants - Glamorous, £30

Really in love with these Glamorous disco pants at the moment because they go with practically anything and are so easy and nice to wear, I love the fit and look of them on, they're really good quality for a really good price.

I chose to wear it with this pink loose knitted jumper because it really stands out against the black of the disco pants and is quite loose fitting so contrasts nicely with the tight disco pants. I like this outfit because its very simple and easy to wear, plus its warm enough for the rainy summer weve been having but doesnt look too wintry seeing as its still august!
