I decided to wear this maxi dress yesterday due to the sudden heatwave thats happening at the moment, thats finally making it feel like summer and letting me get my summer wardrobe out!
I love the colour of this maxi dress because the bright orange is a true summer colour and means that you don't have to use loads of accessories because the dress does it all. I also love the halterneck detail on the dress thats like a plaited rope from the middle of the bust to round the neck. I think maxi dresses are great for hot days as eventhough theyre long, theyre not tight and are just really classic and elegant.
I put my denim waistcoat on top just to cover my shoulders and because it's cropped it tapers in at my waist giving the outfit more shape than without and still keeps the outoft looking casual.
Sandals - River Island, £25
I bought these sandals in the river island sale and wore them yesterday to colour block the blue with the orange. I love the feathers and beading on the sandals which just make them so different and a statement piece.
